Hydrolates are "floral waters" made by steam distillation of plant materials, petals or leaves. So hydrolates are blend of water and water soluble essential oils of the plant. Hydrolates are slightly acidic in nature, and are great for skin moisturising. Skin is naturally slightly acidic, usage of hydrolates helps to protect and balance skin's acid mantle.
